Using a Volumetric Flask

Add the substance to be diluted into the flask (weighed powder or measured liquid sample).

Fill with distilled water while rinsing the neck of the flask.

Stop 1–2 cm below the calibration mark and dry the neck with filter paper.

Step 4

Adjust to the calibration mark using horizontal eye level.

Seal the flask with a stopper and mix by inversion.
